Paddlesport involves all varieties of kayaking, SUP'ing and canoeing, that includes introductory, one-to-one coaching and coaching courses.

Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course:

This 1 day course is designed to cover inccidents and accidents that you may come accross whilst out on the water. Use of towing aides and differing method of rescue techniques make up the majority of this course. You will learn to think more about the weather, the crafts used and the group you paddle with; this is a pre-requisite for the Paddlesport Instructor Course
Pre-requisites:

- 2* / Explore ability level

Paddlesport Instructor Award:

If you have been involved in Paddlesport for a while, or are looking to introduce others then this course is for you. The course lasts for 2 days and will introduce you to the skills needed to get people on the water in a fun and safe approach.
Pre-requisites:

- Home Nation Membership
- FSRT/ PSRC
- Coaching Registration completed
Bespoke course for groups can be made to suit available times

Paddlesport Leader Award:

Along with the suit of awards that British Canoeing have create, we have the Leadership award. This is aimed at participants who want to lead peers or groups on more Open Water and Slow moving water environments.
There is no training required to attend an assessment, although this can be arranged.
Assessment for this award will show skill in all areas of paddlesport, including SUP's, Canoe, Kayaks, and other straight running crafts.
Pre-requisities:
- First Aid Award
- Home Nation Membership

£180 Two day assessment

Coach Award- Core Module Training

The Core module a two day introduction to the start of the coaching pathway; this is great for people who are progressing from Instructor, looking to directly enter the coaching pathway or those people who have been coaching, but would like to gather more information about coaching.
Once complete, this will allow to move on to any of the coaching pathways that suit you.
Pre-requisite:
- Home Nation Membership

Coach Award- Sheltered Water- Training

Once you have completed the Core module, you will be able to access any of the Coach Award modules that exist (pre-requisites required for some).
The Shletered award, goes on to develop the coaching within the environment that you will be operating; developing skills and techniques to control and coach groups within the Sheltered water.

- Home Nation Membership

Assessments

The assessment section for the coach award is best ran on an agreed date and time that suit you and your participants. Therefore, Escape Outdoors will be able to arrange this when you are ready and generally come to you

- Completion of Coach Award
£ Dependant on location and amount of people being assessed

Guide Scheme- Campcraft & Expedition Skills:

The Guide Scheme has been set up for people who look to guide their participants on trips- whether this be abroad, at home or further afield this is suitable for them.
There are 5 varying modules that coaches can attend and once you have attended 3 of these you will a British Canoeing recognised Guide.
At Escape Outdoors, our years of guiding in varying countries has allowed us to be able to deliver the Campcraft & Expedition Skills module.
We will look through the camping side of expeditioning, nutrition, site choice, equipment and packing your craft.
Once you have attended this you will be registered with British Canoeing- but remember, you only need 3 to be a British Canoeing recognised Guide.

'Progressive' Awards:

These awards are run both locally and away to ensure that we have the correct level and conditions for assessments and training.

These awards are considered intermediate awards that trains and assesses people to a competent level in different disciplines of Paddlesport- we can run training and assessment for WW Canoe and WW Kayak.

One-to-One Coaching:

Group coaching can sometimes leave you slightly diappointed with the coaching you recieved; hire in a coach just for yourself, or a small group and get first hand, directed coaching to you. Often the improvement level increases far quicker with personal coaching. We can offer coaching in White water Kayak, Canoe and Sea Kayaking
£30 per hour(Expenses for travel will be added- daily rates can be requested)

CPD Foundation Modules:

These modules are developed by Canoe England to help coaches become all-round coach gaining more information about coaching in different areas. These are presented in 3 hours and need a minimum of 6 to run. Modules include:

- Coaching Young Paddlers
- Outdoor Education and Paddle-sport
- Fitness in Paddle-sport
